1. Do I need a licence to rent a boat?

You must have a valid boat licence to drive a boat in Croatia. The paper document will be requested on the day of booking, it is not possible to rent a boat without having a valid license. Please note that it is possible to book the boat without being the skipper yourself at the time of rent in case the boat is rented together with the skipper.

2. Which skipper licenses are valid in Croatia?

List of skipper licences is quite long and provided by Croatian Maritime Ministry. We can send you the list by E-mail if needed, so you can check if the licence you have is listed. Before you confirm your booking, if in doubt, we recommended to send us copy by E-mail, so we can check for you immediately if your licence is valid.

3. What is a security deposit?

When renting a boat, the Client has to pay the security deposit, which will be returned at the end of the rental, if the boat and its equipment are in the same condition as before the rental. Otherwise, the stated deposit shall be kept in the amount needed for the repair or for purchase of damaged or lost equipment. The amount of the security deposit depends on the model of the boat.

4. Is fuel included in the rental price?

Fuel is not included in the rental price. Feel free to contact us if you would like an estimate of the fuel cost for a particular boat.

5. Can we park a car in Marina Polesana?

Yes, there is a parking place for our clients. One parking spot per boat.

6. What kind of safety equipment is provided on board?

By Croatian law all boats registered for rental must have life belts, first aid box, fire extinguisher, emergency signals etc. While doing the technical check-in procedure, we will show you the safety equipment on board.

7. What happens in the case of bad weather?

If the weather does not allow you to go out to sea, it is preferable to postpone the booking and to agree on a new date.
