The Kamenjak Peninsula or Cape Kamenjak also known as the Peninsula of Premantura (Punta) is the southernmost cape of Istria. Kamenjak is a protruding piece of land delving deep into the sea, some six kilometers long with the average width of about a kilometre. Kamenjak rugged coastline, some 30 kilometers long consist of numerous bay and various beaches forming an area of exceptional natural beauty including 11 unhabitated islands. The west coast of Kamenjak is stepper and its northern part partly encloses the Medulin Bay.
The coast of the Kamenjak peninsula is incredibly rugged and offers many places to swim, high water jump, etc. Some places are available only from the sea. With over 30 km of articulated coast you will find excellent rocky beaches to sandy coves, which are suitable for undisturbed sunbathing.
Brijuni Islands
Brijuni Islands
Along the coast of western Istria, there are several groups of islands among which the most interesting, the largest and the most indented is the Brijuni group of 14 islands and islets. Considering that the Brijuni Islands are a National Park, it is not possible to anchor anywhere or to sail too close to the islands, we consider to make a panoramic drive around the islands and anchor and take a swim on the Kozada island – shallow draft boats can dock on the island without prior notice and payment of fees.
Apart from exceptional biodiversity, the Brijuni Islands are rich in cultural, historical and geopalontological heritage and offer a lot of activities for a longer stay.
